Silvia Pinal Hidalgo, born on September 12, 1931, is a Mexican actress and politician.
She was born in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, to María Luisa Hidalgo Aguilar and Moisés Pasquel.
After completing her education at Pestalozzi College in Cuernavaca, Pinal continued her studies at the Washington Institute in Mexico City.
Although she had artistic aspirations, her father advised her to pursue something “useful,” so she acquired typing skills.
At the age of 14, she started working as a secretary at Kodak.
