Giovanca , the stage name of Giovanca Desire Ostiana ( Alkmaar , March 22, 1977 ), is a Dutch singer, copywriter, presenter and model of Curaçao origin.

She visited the Keizer Karel College in Amstelveen and studied at the University of Amsterdam.

She lives in Amsterdam.

She has performed as a background singer for ten years and has been in the studio with various acts, such as Izaline Calister , Rootsriders , known from Tribute 2 Bob Marley , Jhelisa Anderson , Benny Sings , Noisia and Wouter Hamel .

Since 2006 she is increasingly out of the shade, initially in collaboration with other artists, but in 2008 also with a solo album.

In early 2007 she is one of the singers on the CD "The Mighty 8" of the National Pop Institute.

In 2007 she obtained her master's degree in orthopedagogics at the University of Amsterdam .
